Meet the LASIK Surgeons and Their Team

Linda K. Morrison, M.D.

Dr. Morrison is a fellowship trained corneal specialist with over 18 years of experience performing refractive surgery. For the past 10 years her refractive surgery focus has been laser vision correction (LASIK and PRK). Dr. Morrison is able to apply her extensive experience as a corneal specialist to obtain the highest quality results in refractive surgery. Her strengths, along with her philosophy on patient care have enabled Dr. Morrison to approach laser vision correction with focus and precision.

A graduate of Mount Holyoke College and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Dr. Morrison completed both her corneal fellowship and her ophthalmology residency at Barnes Hospital-Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Morrison and her family moved to Maine in 1988. She established her practice at Maine Eye Center in 1995. She is certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s Refractive Surgery Interest Group.

Curtis M. Libby, M.D.

Dr. Libby is one of the first area physicians to utilize the technology of the VISX Star-S4 laser. In addition to refractive surgery, he specializes in cataract surgery and glaucoma subspecialty care. A native of the Portland area, Dr. Libby returned to Maine following his training and has been performing eye surgeries here for seven years.

His dedication to the field of ophthalmology has made him a well respected surgeon. He has served as President of the Maine Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and consults as team ophthalmologist for the Portland Sea Dogs.

Dr. Libby earned his medical degree at the University of Vermont Medical School and completed a fellowship at the University of Wisconsin, following his ophthalmology residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center. He holds an undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College. Dr. Libby is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Patrice Seltzer, Director of Refractive Surgery Services

Patrice Seltzer is the Director of Refractive Surgery Services at Maine Eye Center and will be your point-person through your refractive surgery experience. You will speak to Patrice to schedule your initial evaluation and she will be there to answer any questions you may have. She will also follow your progress after surgery to assure your satisfaction. Patrice had LASIK surgery at Maine Eye Center in 2002, giving her a greater understanding of the LASIK experience and the questions patients have about the procedure.

Patrice has extensive knowledge of refractive surgery and has worked for years educating patients about laser vision correction. She understands the importance of maintaining high practice standards and creating an environment where communication between patient and staff are encouraged. Patrice has been working with Maine Eye Center since 2000.
