Jeffrey K. Moore, M.D.

Jeffrey K. Moore, M.D. is a fellowship trained vitreo-retinal surgeon and physician.  Dr. Moore evaluates and treats patients with disorders that affect the vitreous and retina of the eye, including diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, macular degeneration, and severe eye injuries. 

Dr. Moore is a graduate of Bowdoin College and received his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine.  Following a medical internship at Brown University, he completed his ophthalmology residency and vitreo-retinal fellowship training at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida.  .

Prior to joining Maine Eye Center, Dr. Moore served one year on the faculty at Bascom Palmer as Chief Resident and Director of Emergency Services and Ocular Trauma. 

Dr. Moore is Board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists.  He is an assistant clinical professor for the University of Vermont College of Medicine and also a voluntary assistant professor at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.  He resides in Cumberland with his wife, Julie, and their two children.
