Jessica S. Watson, M.D. | Maine Eye CenterDr. Watson is a fellowship trained vitreoretinal surgeon who joined Maine Eye Center in August 2017. She specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of vitreous and retinal disorders, including retinal detachment, diabetic eye disease, age-related macular degeneration, and retinal vascular disorders.

Dr. Watson graduated magna cum laude from Dartmouth College in 2006 where she was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in 2011 where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Watson completed her ophthalmology residency at the Scheie Eye Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, and she completed her vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the University of Iowa. Dr. Watson is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retinal Specialists, and Women in Ophthalmology. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
