Noelle L. Pruzan, MD is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma and cataracts.
Dr. Pruzan received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and her bachelor’s degree from Yale University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She completed advanced training in the treatment of glaucoma at Wills Eye Hospital, consistently ranked as one of the top U.S. eye hospitals. Dr. Pruzan completed her residency in ophthalmology at the University of California, San Francisco, and a medical internship at Greenwich Hospital/Yale New Haven Health.
She has presented award-winning research at national ophthalmological conferences, is the author of several scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals, including JAMA Ophthalmology, and was a contributor to the glaucoma chapter of the Wills Eye Manual, the leading professional guide for eye doctors. Dr. Pruzan also has volunteered for medical-service projects in Ghana, South Africa, and Guatemala. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the American Glaucoma Society.
Dr.Pruzan’s practice is at Maine Eye’s Lowell Campus location at 15 Lowell Street in Portland.
